After trotting the globe for decades, Alaska's now both home and outdoor studio. It's a really big place, this Great Land, full of all kinds of compelling natural history subjects, some of which are pretty high on the food chain - a strong incentive to keep one's attention focused. Great subjects are not just limited to Alaska, of course, and I enjoy lots of other destinations too, especially California and the western United States. When not in the field making new images, I spend a lot of time helping others learn the art and craft of digital photography, often in conjunction with the Alaska Society of Outdoor & Nature Photographers. Life is short; learn well, shoot often.
